Findings and Thoughts

After spending my christmas break fixing up my mums old bike from the 1960s (hmm think she is getting old!) i decided to put my handy work to the test and go exploring the streets of sydney on my rustic red bike! i rode from Bondi to the Bronti/Coggee water reserve! (if you havn't been grab a snorkel and go for a dive. Its another world under the glisten blue waters) there are 200 year old fish. i am sure your wondering what 200 year old fish look like..well i will leave the imagination up to you and leave you with that enticing though and the lingering question of ".will curiosity get the better of you?????"
However on this day i read the Australian news paper (because thats what adults do) whilst basking in the beautiful sun shine! it was a good read too! I discovered some important factual information on fashion and entreatment! (i rarely read the news its too depressing..)
amongst my findings i discovered Joanna Newsoma & Band a brilliant talent is gracing Australian shore with her interpretation of music. Joanna will be playing in Sydney at the Sydney opera house on Monday the 18th of January tickets are $49. Cheek her music out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYl0uLrXP7U..
I also read that White is in! So its time to get bleach out and overcome ones fears of spilling something on oneself! because according to the runway its what its all about! be sure not to look like you are still on holidays but get creative with the simplicity of white and show off all your hard work that you did whilst on holidays!
I want to leave you with the quote by Nigela Lawson who i adore. She frames the words "domestic goddess" with such eloquence and because of that she is someone whom i look up to with great interest (did you know she got a degree in medieval languages!)! " I feel going into a shop and buying a fur coat would be an act of weakens, but if i could go out into he woods and kill a bear myself, i would then wear it proudly as a trophy."

inspiring...

Found this book at my local cafe/book shop its very inspiring. tital "paris made by hand" by Pia Jame Bijerk published by the Little book room New York.... A paris stylist Pia Bijerk leads you to more than 50 shops and studios that embody that spirit and where you'll find the most original and creative clothing, jewelry, handbags, ceramics, home furnishings. and decretive objects in Paris..the city or LOVE!

new beginnings

The concept of this blog has been scrutinized and talked about over dinner, lunch, coffee, riding though the woods in a change room under a blue full moon and many other amazing locations. Until one day it came to the point of me overcoming my fear of computers. Maybe if i am honest with myself the thought of committing to something and then maybe it failing...But alas we cannot become slaves to ones mindset because life isn't about being perfect! We are always evolving and improving and growing..
"thought": Its not about being perfect because there is beauty in imperfections ( i do so hope you can see mine!)..
So finally i decided to try and create some form of blog on the things that seem to unify people from every walk of life... I don't really know how the blog is going to look, feel or sound.. it will be an interesting journey (if anything maybe its a good conversation point, instead of alway talking about the weather!) So here goes it! The mind is a funny thing and I sometimes wonder if I am normal until one day I came to the understanding that there is no bench mark for normal nor is there any boxes that you have to conform too! so my writing, fashion and cooking style is unique - to me! maybe you wont get my thought process but that ok..
I just hope you can see the beauty in it!
I do so apologize in advance for my lack of spelling and grammar ability..lets just say that its why i love food, fashion, and fun..because it generally doesn't involve me writing......UNTILL NOW!
